17th July 2007: Maggie's Final Performance Photos

"Brilliant... Magical... Rivetting....."

Huge thanks to everyone who came to see Maggie's final performance of  Molly Bloom, following her recent decision to
retire from acting.

The Saturday evening performance was booked out so another matinee performance had to be scheduled for earlier in the afternoon to accomodate the number of people attending.   That was booked out too!
As always,  Maggie was on fine form and her peformance was said to be "brilliant, magical, rivetting", with doubts that a better reading of James Joyce's last chapter would ever be done.

Enjoy this selection of photos from Maggie's final gig in Melbourne.  Although fans of Maggie's work would move heaven and earth to get her to reconsider the decision,  she remains adamant that this was her last performance, and is looking forward to concentrating on other projects.

Congratulations Maggie, on a fantastic final performance in front of a huge amount of appreciative (and some very emotional) attendees!

9th June 2007: Maggie's Final Gig in Melbourne

Fans of Maggie's work will almost certainly want to be in Melbourne in June 2007,  when Maggie will be taking to the stage for the very last time.   One of Australia's finest actors,  Maggie has decided to "bite the bullet" and finally retire from acting.
Maggie's final performance will coincide with her acclaimed performance as  "Molly Bloom",  a role which she has played annually since 1992.   I'm sure all of our visitors and fans of Maggie's work will join us in wishing her all the very best for the future.

Although Maggie has decided to leave her acting days behind her,  her official website will continue to operate as normal and bring you all of the latest news on Maggie's new projects.   Maggie now plans to spend more time on her art work and painting.

20th April 2007: Maggie joins Prestigious Honour Roll

Many years of campaigning and raising awareness on women's issues have been recognised and awarded recently when Maggie was inducted in the Victorian Women's Honour Roll.  Set up some years ago to acknowledge women who have contributed to the lives of other women in various ways,  Maggie was selected because of her significant contributions to work in Jigsaw (changing adoption legislation) , Body Image and women in the media, and Diabetes Education.

"It was a great honour, and I was in great company!"  said Maggie.  To read the online article click here.

Congratulations, Maggie.
