Launched in 1967, the ABC produced series depicted the lives of simple country folk in the fictional town that gave the show's title. The series was taped in the ABC's Melbourne studios in Elsternwick, with some location work done in Victorian country town of Daylesford. For more information on Bellbird, Click here In August 2003, Maggie reunited with writer and actor Alan Hopgood to bring the show back to life for a new audience. Alan's play "Back to Bellbird" has been very well received in Australia, and he hopes to tour in the future.
